Volume 1, Issue 1 of the Kernewek Chronicle. the newsletter of the Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival News from Australia has the latest on this huge biennual festival which takes place in Moonta, Kadina and Wallaroo:

"The inaugural Copper Coast Cornish festival committee members back in 1973 could never have imagined they had started something so big that ensuing festivals over four decades would go on to regularly draw 50,000-plus crowds, contributing millions of dollars to our local economy.
Now in our 41st year, our Cornish festival continues to keep alive our significant Cornish heritage and, with an ‘all hands on deck’ approach by community groups from across our towns of Moonta, Kadina and Wallaroo, our future, too, is looking bright. In fact, we may have only just scratched the surface..."
