Cornish language speakers and students will now be able to access more than 10,000 words online.
A new digital dictionary, which was officially launched on the European Day of Languages, is fully searchable. MAGA, the Cornish language partnership, said the resource will continue to develop, both in the number of entries and in the information given about each word.
MAGA chairman and Cornwall Council cabinet member for economy and culture, Julian German, said: "Many more people are taking an interest in the Cornish language now and this dictionary is an excellent resource for learners and those interested in finding words in Cornish. The recent resolution from the European Parliament, which emphasised the importance of promoting and protecting smaller languages, was very welcome and we believe that providing resources for learners is an important part of that work."
