Mousehole Sea Salts and Sails Maritime Festival
See the Festival website
"A Cornish fishing village is gearing up for the return of the Sea, Salts and Sail Festival which will see its 500-year-old harbour flooded with historic craft.
The bi-annual festival in Mousehole is in its 20th year and celebrates the village's unique maritime and fishing heritage.
This year Sea, Salts and Sail runs from July 11-13, and organisers have invited scores of boats that will fill the harbour, recreating the sights, smells and flavour of what was one an important and vibrant fishing port.
Traditional wooden vessels from Mount’s Bay and Falmouth and as far afield as Brittany, rigged with spars and tan sails, will set out for an impressive “parade of sail” over the three days."
Activities get underway from Friday afternoon with the arrival of the boats from 2pm onwards. The opening ceremony is at 6:30 followed by an evening of fun and music.
Over the weekend look forward to a variety of activities and entertainment which takes place by the beach in Mousehole
"See you in Mousehole this weekend!! "
