From Cousin Jack:
"Calling all Cousin Jacks & Cousin Jennies! (and non-Cornish friends who'd like to join us)
St. Piran’s Day, March 5, 2014 will be celebrated at Merlin’s Rest, 3601 E. Lake St. in Minneapolis."
"We will begin the festivities when the pub opens at 4:00 pm. The flag of Cornwall will be flying, and pasties are always on the menu. And for those wishing to make a night of it, the 7:30pm Wednesday pub quiz is sure to include its share of Cornish-themed questions.
St. Piran is the patron saint of Cornwall and of tin miners; tin mining being the historic backbone of the Cornish economy.
If anyone has Cornish Cousins in the U.S. in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, send them this way. The Merlin's Rest pub is a local hub for Cornish cultures.
About 20 Cornishmen and Cornishwomen expected so far.
