A 5-week course on Cornish Culture will be given by Cornish Culture writer and event organiser Simon Reed in Madron, beginning on Thursday 10th July.
The course is free to attend and is part of the Bewnans Kernow Penwith Points of View project, a two year heritage and culture programme taking place in the Madron area.
All aspects of Cornish Culture including music, language, food, festivals, feast days and traditional costume will be included in the lectures. Simon will also explain the factors that make Cornish Culture unique and how it was shaped by its history, geography and environment.
The five evening sessions will shed light on ancient traditions, share new research and provide background information on current festivals and celebrations.
The course will be held weekly at 7.30pm from Thursday 10th July to Thursday 7th August at Landithy Hall (Forget-Me-Not Room), Madron.
